Adding a Custom Review Site

You can connect to most review sites, even if they aren’t already listed as a third-party review site in Podium. While you’ll still be able to add a custom site to your review invitations, you won’t be able to see or respond to reviews submitted directly in Podium. Please note that you can only connect one custom review site.

To connect a custom review site, you’ll need to find the URL for the site’s review page, then manually enter it in Podium using the instructions provided. Two common custom sites are WebMD and Glassdoor. We’ve included examples of how to find their review page URLs. The process will be similar for most sites. 

Example 1: Finding the Review Page URL for WebMD

1. Go to www.webmd.com.
2. Click Find a doctor.
3. Enter the name of the physician who will be reviewed and select them from the list.
4. Click Rate This Doctor.
5. Copy the URL that appears in the browser’s address bar. Once you’re ready, continue on to learn how to add this review site to Podium.

Example 2: Finding the Review Page URL for Glassdoor

1. Go to www.glassdoor.com/reviews.
2. Enter the name of your company, its city, and state; then click the search icon.
3. Click the Add a Review button next to your company’s name.
4. Copy the URL that appears in the browser’s address bar. Once you’re ready, continue on to learn how to add this review site to Podium.

Adding a Custom Review Site

After you’ve located the review page URL for a review site, you can add the custom review site to your account.

1. Go to Reviews in your top menu.
2. Once you’re in Reviews, select Review Settings in the sidebar.
3. Under Getting Started, click Browse other review sites.
4. Scroll down to select Custom from the list of third-party review sites.                                                 
5. Enter the name of the review site.                                                                                                             
6. In Review Page URL, enter the URL for the web page where users can leave a review for your business. (For help, see the examples above.)
7. If you’d like to include this site in your review invitations, make sure to check the box next to Include this site in review invitations. 
8. When you’re ready, click Connect site.                                                                                                             
9. Your newly connected site will appear in both the filter menu on the Reviews home screen as well as in the list of connected sites in Review Settings.
10. If you have multiple review sites, you can determine the order in which each site is shown to customers by dragging and dropping the list of review sites in Review Settings.
