Using Tags to Target Subscribers

Tags are additional pieces of information about subscribers. You might add tags about how they opted in (“website” or “in-store”), their behavior (“purchased” or “haven't purchased”), or a specific category (“new customer” or “VIP”). Tags can be used to send target campaigns to a group of subscribers.

Before you can add tags, you’ll need to create a campaign. With your campaign created, you can upload a spreadsheet (CSV) file of subscribers.

To add tags:

  1. Click Subscriber Upload.

  2. Click Choose a CSV.

  3. Click Choose file. Select the file you want to use, then click Open.

  4. Click Preview File.

  5. Click the column header and select the fields for first name, last name, and phone number.

  6. Click Manage Subscribers.

  7. Add tags for the list of subscribers.

  8. Select a location. This can be either the last location associated with a subscriber or a location of your choice.

  9. Click Summary.

  10. Review the summary, then click Ready to Upload.
