Adding an Auto-Reply Message

When website visitors send a message to your business through Webchat, they’ll receive an auto-reply that you’ve created. We recommend that you include the name of your business and set realistic expectations about when they’ll hear back from you by indicating the typical turnaround time for getting a response from your team. For example, you could say, “Thanks for texting Mac’s Auto Body. We typically respond within 30 minutes.”

Attention: If a website visitor sends a Webchat message outside of business hours, they’ll see your after-hours message. If you haven’t set up an after-hours message, they’ll see this auto-reply. 

To add an auto-reply message:

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Webchat.

  3. Click Auto-Responder.
