Editing a User

When a user creates their account, they can add their name, email, phone number, profile photo, and job title. If youre an account owner, you can also edit this information for your users. Depending on your role and permissions, you may also be able to change a users role and add or remove them from specific locations.

Updating a User’s Contact Information

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Users.

  2. Search for a user by their name, email, or phone number.

  3. Click on the user’s name.

  4. Update or add the contact information, as necessary.

   Changing a User’s Role 

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Users.

  3. Click the current role and select a new one from the drop-down menu.

Changing a User’s Location

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Users.

  2. Search for a user by their name, email, or phone number.

  3. Click the user’s name.

  4. Click the Assign to location drop-down menu.

  5. To add a location for a user, search for and select the appropriate location. To remove a location, deselect the checkbox to the left of a location.

Editing a User’s Profile Photo

Users can add a picture to their profile to make it easier for team members and people they’re messaging with to quickly identify who they’re chatting with. If you're an account manager, you can edit any employee’s photo. This can help keep your company brand consistent and makes sure the photos being used are appropriate.

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Users.

  2. Search for a user by their name, email, or phone number.

  3. Click on the user’s name.

  4. Hover over the profile image or initials and click Change Photo.

  5. Select the photo you’d like to use and click Open.
  6. If necessary, drag the zoom tool to resize the picture; then click Upload.

Changing a User’s Password

If you have the appropriate permissions, you can reset the password for another user. The user will be signed out of their account automatically and will need to sign in again using their new password. 

  1. Click the settings (gear) icon and select Users.

  5. Enter the new password; it must contain at least 8 characters.
