Managing Review Sites

After you’ve set up your review sites, you have the option to set a preferred review site, exclude sites from invitations, and when necessary, delete them.  

Setting a Preferred Review Site

Your preferred review site is the site that your customers will be directed to upon opening your review invitation. They can still choose to submit a review one of your other connected sites, but your preferred site is just what site they'll see first. Customers are more likely to leave a review for the first site they are invited to, so make sure your most important site is first in the list.

Best Practice: We recommend prioritizing sites that positively impact your online reputation, like Google and Facebook.

To set your preferred review site:

1. Go to Reviews under the Marketing tab.
2. Select Review Settings in the left menu.
3. Under the Review Sites section, click View options next to the site you want to set as your preferred review site.
4. Select Set as preferred review site from the dropdown.
5. The site will move to the top of the list labeled Preferred review site.

Excluding a Review Site from Review Invitations

You might want to temporarily exclude a specific review site from your review invitations if you want to highlight a specific site, or if you have a long list on your invitations. This only affects invitations that you send to your customers; you’ll continue to see reviews from all your connected sites on the Reviews tab.

To exclude a review site:

1. Go to Reviews under the Marketing tab.
2. Select Review Settings in the left menu.
3. Under Review Sites, click View Options next to the site you want to exclude.
4. Select Manage site from the dropdown.
5. Uncheck the box next to Include this site in review invitations.
6. Click Save to apply your changes.
7. You'll still see the review site listed in this section, but its status will change to Excluded from review invites.

Removing a Review Site

If you don’t want to collect reviews for a specific review site anymore, you can remove it from your account. Those reviews will no longer be collected or displayed in your Podium account. Please note that if you remove a review site from your account, you'll need to re-connect it in Review Settings.

To remove a review site:

1. Go to Reviews under the Marketing tab.
2. Select Review Settings in the left menu.
3. Under the Review Sites section, click View options next to the site you want to delete. 
4. Select Remove review site from the dropdown.
5. The review site will be immediately removed from the list.
