Troubleshooting Unverified Bank Accounts

After you’ve entered your business and banking details, your bank account will go through a verification process; you’ll see a status of “Verification pending.” This process typically takes 30 minutes. Once completed, your bank account’s status will change to “Verified” or “More information needed.”

If you get a “More information needed” status you’ve entered some details incorrectly (or the info doesn’t match what we know about your business), and you’ll need to make changes. Typically, you’ll see a red error message for the field that needs to be updated.

Account Owner

You’ll need to contact Podium Support by logging in and initiating a live chat to make changes to this information. Make sure that you have the first name, last name, and personal address of the account owner on hand and that it matches their government-issued ID.

Account Creator

You’ll need to make sure that the first name and last name you’ve provided matches your government-issued ID. After you update the name, click Save to start the verification process again. After 30 minutes your status should change to “verified.”

If your account still isn’t verified after updating your name, it’s likely that your personal address is incorrect. This address must match the address on your ID. To update your address, log in to your Podium Account and initiate a live chat with Podium Support.

Business Details

Make sure that you’ve entered your Employer Identification Number (EIN) correctly. Your business’ EIN can be found on your 147C IRS form. After you update the number, click Save to start the verification process again. After 30 minutes your status should change to “verified.”

If your account still isn’t verified after re-entering your EIN, it’s likely that your business name doesn’t match the name associated with your EIN. For example, you might have entered ACME when the legal name associated with your business’s EIN is ACME Corp. You can find your legal business name on your 147C IRS form. To update your business’s legal name, contact Product Support by logging into your Podium Account and initiating a live chat.
