Registering your business for 10DLC (Required)

Overview

As announced by The Campaign Registry (TCR) in Sept. 2022 all businesses need to register on 10 DLC Standard in order to be compliant with carrier and government regulations. 

If your business isn’t registered, your messages may be at risk of being filtered or blocked. While you’ll still be able to send messages (for the time being), if any messages get filtered, there is nothing Podium can do to help until you register. Therefore, we highly recommend that you register and will limit any campaign or bulk messaging features until you do so.

How to register for 10DLC

  1. Open 10dlc.podium.com in a new tab.

  2. If you aren’t already, you will need to log in to your account (Note: only account owners, location admins, team leaders, managers, and supervisors are able to access this registration).
  3. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be given a brief description of the registration and why it’s important to complete. Click I’m ready to begin. hc1.png
  4. Next, enter your business Employer Identification Number (EIN). If you have multiple EINs, just start with one, and you’ll be able to add the rest later. If you don’t know or can’t find your EIN, try searching by your legal business name or business address. If the database doesn’t contain your business, click Enter information manually. hc2.pnghc3.png

  5. Unless the database gathered all your business information, you’ll need to fill out some or all of your legal information. Business phone number and EIN verification letter upload are optional. Please make sure that your business address, name and EIN all match exactly what is listed on your EIN letter from the IRS. If your information doesn’t match what appears on official government documentation, your registration will fail, and you’ll need to complete it again.   6. Then, fill out the remaining business details, including your business type (Corporation, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, Co-operative, LLC, or Non-Profit), business classification (Private, Public, Government or Non-Profit), business website, business industry, and finally, which locations this EIN is associated with. (Note: If your Podium organization only has 1 location, this final location step will not appear). When you’re ready, click Continue to move on.                  hc5.png

  7. Then, review your all of your information for accuracy, and when you’re ready to continue, click Confirm. hc6.png
  8. Finally, if all your business locations are registered, you’ll get a “Thank You” message. If you still have some locations that need to be registered, click “Verify another location,” and repeat this process for another EIN.hc7.png
